Edward R. Becker, MD

Edward R. Becker, M.D., is the founding partner of Palm Beach Urology Associates. He has been a respected member of Palm Beach County’s medical community for over 35 years. As a charter member of the medical staffs at Palms West Hospital and Wellington Regional Medical Center, he is one of the specialists who have helped set the standard for excellence for physicians and surgeons in the area. Dr. Becker has served as Chief of Surgery at Palms West Hospital and was later appointed to the Board of Trustees. He has also served as Vice-Chair of Surgery at Wellington Regional Medical Center. Dr. Becker is a graduate of the University of Florida Urology program in Jacksonville. He has donated his time to medical missions all over the world and is a past recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award for his charitable contributions in his community and globally.

Dr. Becker practices all aspects of adult and pediatric urology including male sexual dysfunction, male and female incontinence, renal disease, minimally invasive treatment of kidney stones, diagnosis and treatment of bladder disease and renal and prostate cancer. His approach to urologic cancer is to provide his patients with a personalized and tailored treatment plan that emphasizes innovative treatment while maintaining a high quality of life.

Dr. Becker is part of a small, select group of urologic surgeons in the country who are known as implanting urologists. He has completed over 1000  penile implants during his career and is in the Nationally top 1% of urologists , including those that don’t do implants. Dr. Becker also performs implant surgery for urinary sphincters and insertion of the InterStim Neurostimulator for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

The goal for his practice is to offer patients world class, state of the art treatment in their own community. Known as a community leader, he is on the Medical Board of Governors for the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and has been a proud supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of Wellington for over 30 years.
